Art Appreciation
Photography is the most accessible art form of our daily life. Nowadays, instead of using actual verbal and written language, our generation and society heavily rely on images to communicate. This movement shows how images can replace reality in the future. In your opinion, can manipulated images function like reality? In other words, do we need reality when we can provide our own fantasy?
Sample Answer
Whether or not manipulated images can function like reality is a complex question. On the one hand, images are a powerful way to communicate and shape our understanding of the world. They can be used to create a sense of realism and authenticity, even when they are not entirely accurate. For example, movies and TV shows often use special effects to create scenes that would be impossible to film in the real world. But these scenes can still feel believable and immersive to viewers.
On the other hand, manipulated images can also be used to create a false sense of reality. For example, social media users may post heavily filtered and edited photos of themselves, which can give the impression that they have a perfect life. This can lead to unrealistic expectations and body image issues.
