Using one of the 10 poems that you chose to read from Castillo’s book of poetry as a model, write your own poem that mirrors the same topic or structure as the model poem you selected. The poem should be at least 10 lines long and does not need to rhyme. It should make some sort of commentary on a social issue or it can be a personal reflection on a life experience (much like Castillo’s poems are).
