Pancreatic cancer

  1. Choose a specific type of cancer (Pancreatic cancer) to create a short critical thinking essay. Example: Do not choose bone cancer, that is broad. Instead you would need to choose a specific type of bone cancer such as osteosarcoma.
  2. Reflect on the research you collect on the cancer chosen, and create a hypothesis if you believe there is or there is not a correlation to the information that you collected in your data. You may or may not find a correlation, there is no right or wrong in this portion of the essay. As a hypothesis can be proven true or false, though you will always find a scientific answer once the hypothesis is actually tested.
  3. Would like for the essay to be a reflective/critical thinking essay, not a research essay. Therefore, keep your in-text citations short. Reflect on the information that you research, translating into your own thoughts and ideas on the topic.
  4. Format should be as follows:
    a. MLA style format (page numbering, correct title, spacing) with the following considerations: New Times Roman or Calibri/ 1” margins/double space. Include a title page for this essay including the following information: type your name, your instructor’s name, the course number, and the date on separate lines, double-spacing the lines. Months may be spelled out or abbreviated. On a new, double-spaced line, center the title. Do not italicize or underline your title, put it in quotation marks or boldface, or type it in all capital letters.
    b. At least 2 pages in length (body of the essay alone, no title)
    c. Include at least six citations (do not count towards the length of the essay, should be on a separate page)
