Mapping Portion

1.Pick out a Project Wild or Project Learning Tree lesson from your required textbooks.
2.Using the IdeaMapper4Students software create the left section of the 5E lesson plan for Objective, Method, and Materials.
3.Rewrite the lesson objective to be in ABCD format (Audience, Condition, Behavior, Degree). See the following resources:
◦http://www.unm.edu/~jbrink/365/Documents/ABCD_Objectives.doc
4.The methods section identifies instructional methods used by the teacher. See http://www.adprima.com/teachmeth.htm for examples.
5.All materials are listed.
6.Map out the “Engage” section of the lesson plan model (for this week you don’t need to map the rest. You may need to create an Engage element if it is not clearly defined in the lesson you select.
7.Click on the Text view in IdeaMapper4Students to write the details of your chosen lesson for Engage.
8.Save the IdeaMapper4Students file and name it with a short, meaningful name (such as “engage”) with no spaces in the name (it will have a. iimd extension.) Keep this file. It is the file you can edit, and you will add to it in the next lesson.)
9.While the file is open in IdeaMapper4Students, change the view of your lesson map to the text view. You should see the plain text view of your 5-E lesson plan. Click file, save as, and choose to save as a .pdf.
