The role of public opinion influences how we view and make our political decision based on media, family, education, religion, race, etc. Please comment on any of those elements and how did it influence your political decision.
Can the average American trust the media, given the amount of “fake news” that is placed on social media, I often wonder if we have a fair chance to understand the candidates and the political process. I will love to hear your comments.

Public opinion is indeed a powerful force shaping political decisions. Several factors contribute to its formation, and I can comment on a few:
- Media: The media plays a significant role in disseminating information and framing political issues. News outlets, both traditional and digital, can influence public perception through their reporting and commentary. The rise of social media has further amplified this influence, with information spreading rapidly and sometimes without proper verification.
- Family: Family values and beliefs often shape an individual’s political outlook. Early exposure to political discussions and ideologies within the family can have a lasting impact.
