Write a 525- to 700-word paper answering the following: Select an official Native American group (one on the official federal list). Specifically answer these questions: Where are they located in the U.S. today? Were they forcibly removed from their ancestral lands? How? Do they have a reservation today? What is their legal standing with the U.S. government? How many enrolled members are there in the tribe? How is tribal membership defined? What form of government do they practice? Can both men and women be on the governing body? Do they have an official language other than English or Spanish? Is the language taught in Indian schools?

A) Write 1 paragraph (100 words MAX) about an imaginary 7-year-old child with ADHD. The child will be entering Grade 2. 1) Provide imaginary information about the naturalistic environments in which the child functions everyday (make up information about family, school, and culture). 2) Give the child 3 strengths and 3 weaknesses across the areas covered by the Information Processing Model (input, processing, output, emotional context and executive functions). These strengths and weaknesses should match with an ADHD profile. B) Write 100 words (MAX) describing 3 assessments you will use. Follow the Information Processing Model closely and make sure you have directly linked each assessment to a specific previously identified weakness or the child. Make it clear what area of weakness you are assessing with each test. 1) Give examples of informal assessments that you would conduct (collections of the child’s work or observations of behavior). 2) Give an example of a formal assessment (give the specific name of the test you would use). 3) Make sure you assess the context of the child (family, home, school strengths and weaknesses). C) Write 300 words (MAX) describing 3 treatment options you will suggest to address the child’s weaknesses. 1) Describe educational supports at each tier of the Fttl model that address each of the child’s 3 weaknesses. 2) Include information from two peer-review articles about treatment options recently proven effective for children with ADHD.
